Who is attending the MCG Gathering?

We (5)will be there on wendsday, Matt (5)will be there wendsday, Jim Allen is to be there on thursday,And my buddy Jim (purple 70 of course)will be there around noon on friday.

 

Man that is awesome Jim is making it, I really hadn't seen him on here and with all the things I have going on right now I didn't think of him. Sorry Jim, but I'm glad you will make it. Bruce that is awesome that you be there in your car, can't wait to see it.

I just got back from E-town. Ward and I took a ride to the event locations for Friday and Saturday. The birthplace of Lincoln and the Lincoln Museum will be a great tour. The park in which the show will be held on Saturday is (next to an indoor show ) probably the coolest place I have seen for a show. There is a playground for the kids (or those young at heart) they have 2 horseshoe pits, which I will gladly show off my KY. horseshoe skills. There is a volleyball court, a very nice outdoor pool and a fishing lake! Nice shaded area for relief from the heat and much more.

Ward and I also got the goodies bag put together along with the plaques and many raffle prizes.

Look forward to seeing everyone in a couple days.

AFter much thought and a pep talk from John. I am spending Tonight, Tommorrow, and all day wednesday putting the "War Machine"back together. I will have blown 500.00 for no other reason than to make John look slow at the tree once again.

I have to install new valve springs/retainers/keepers, reassemble the old frt end/brakes. Install the seats, steering column, Put the exhaust back on, and hook the motor mounts on,install new master cylinder and ???????

that means so much coming from a guy that just conveniently cannot arrive until Friday

 

i just stopped for the night in hope, arkansas. will be in e-town late tomorrow. takes a little longer when 4 are travelling and one is 9, one is 4. but it's been a great trip so far. hope i didn't just jinx myself.

she says she's still breathing and she's looking for her pain pills. the girls are doing great. we bought 2 dvd players that hang behind the seats. you can play dvd's or cd's, and they can watch the same dvd's or each watch a different one. best money we ever spent. see you in a couple.

I talked to the Hahn boys and Somerset crew yesterday...they will arrive on Friday.
Also looks like Mr. Weaver is trying to make it. *If you ever want to see a true gorgeous resto of (back too) original maverick, Mr. Weaver's car is just that........PERFECT!
