No, but I will be there for the Dream Cruise next month. We should meet up and have us a little mini-meet!

I'll be staying in Taylor, and I'll be there on the 16th. I'll get up with you when it gets close and we can set something up.

Keep me in the loop. I'll come if I can. There is also an open house at the Roush museum(Livonia) Aug. 16th at 5pm, a midnight madness open drag racing night at us131(Martin) Aug. 17th from 5pm-1am and an NMCA drag race at Milan Aug. 17th-19th so plenty to do in Michigan that weekend. For anyone on the west side of the state, the Metro Cruise is the following weekend August 24th 1-9pm and 25th 9am-9pm.

Hopefully the cruise will happen. I have heard a lot of talk about it not happening due to all of the legal BS with getting permits to tell crap, food and just sit in a lot to watch. I live two blocks off telegraph and look forward to this every year.

In case anyone wants to know, there is alos a Comet (1960 to ??) this weekend in Dearborn at the Doubletree at Ford Rd. and Southfield. The Comet East car club is putting it on along with the Edsel Club of America. Should be a good show for the Comet folks. I have a '64 Cyclone so I will be spending some time there as well as the cruise. Busy weekend!!

well i had one hell of a day, installed my new coil and bumper, car ran wonderful thru the whole cruise, spotted a yellow 74ish 2 door mav, don't know if its anyone from here, talked to a blue 72 comet owner for a little bit, then headed back home, stopped and ate at UNO's with my gf, then headed home, about 4 miles from my house launched from a stop light a little hard and saw a bunch of white smoke comming from my car, pulled over only to find transmition dumping alot of fluid from the front of the trans, i think my oil pump seal blew,:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad: anyways TCI transmitions are total crap, its the second time that thing broke on me, guess my 4 speed swap will be alot sooner then i expected, not sure if i can get it done for the dream cruise

here's the pictures of the bumper i got from MNtony

Hello Earl. Taylor isn't far from me. That sounds like a good idea to get together with Zooomzoomguy, and a few people. Maybe we should start a thread for the Woodward Cruise?

Hello jkc302. I'm just a block off Telegraph, and every year the Telegraph Cruise has been held, I've been at the Roundup. When Earl is in town for the Woodward Cruise, maybe we could get together and bring your car. Besides a yellow 2-door Maverick and my 4-door, I thought these were the only two Mavericks I knew of in Dearborn. Glad to hear you've got a Mav!

No problem, I've got room in the 4-door. Sorry to hear about the transmission problems with your Maverick.

I wish I could drive my car at the moment. Currently it's in Devner CO, yes, Denver. Is doesn't run due to the fact that the guy I bought it from took the intake off and a few other small things. No big deal really but when I get it here, next week maybe, my Dad is also bringing me a fresh 302 bottom end I did years ago, Edelbrock aluminum heads and I have a toplader for it.

Put that with the 64 Cyclone I'm trying to get roling on, I have a lot of work to do.

I'll probably get to Woodward a couple of time throught the week before but the actual Saturdays the cruise is on is a zoo so we'll see.

    Jon
