Stopped on the way to the Rod Run yesterday and the guy behind the counter said his father has a 72 4dr to get rid of:bananaman, and then this morning I went to another yard and they are suppose to be getting 2 comets in sometime next week....and this yard usually lets me have parts at a good price. Robert
don't have any yet......the cars haven't arrived at the yard yet....suppose to this next week. Robert
how do you guys find out about all these great junk yards? I'm here in southern california and either I don't know where they are hiding or there isn't many around me. Have yet to see a maverick or comet in a junk yard here.
they are on the East side of Cali., in a little place they call...GEORGIA directions... going North, turn right and go 2,000 miles... ......
I asked the yard owners who might have some old cars since they didn't. Just call them all and someone will know someone who mighrt have some
that is what i do, ask people in the auto stores and garages....hit up the OLD guys. I have found a few that I start hearing BANJO tunes as i get close to them. Robert
I know of a yard near Copper Hill, TN that's back in the old roads, way off the beaten path. The guy literally plays a harmonica and has an old dog that follows him around. Some very neat old cars there, I don't know how far back in the woods they go... He has a pretty decent 2 door '73 Comet, but everytime I stop by there and ask him what he wants for it, he tells me "I'll think 'bout it... come back later".
