wow. how far did you have to drive? new floor pans are to be available soon from autokrafters. i believe someone posted in here that they are in the catalog, but if you call for them they were saying 90 days, 1/4 panels may be in there now. there were some recent posts on here about repopping the battery trays and the part under the tray. :)

I'd love to see a better picture of the rear end. The taillights really caught my eye.

The newest catalog has the floor pans, but they are not in stock yet. Where was that Maverick built? in North America? Do you know the DSO? I'm just wondering if Ford imported them.

Looks like 67-68 Cougar tail lights. I don't like them because they stick out so far...plus they don't mount up flush on the bottom. If I recalll correctly, they start to angle off about 4-5 inches from one side which would make a gap at the bottom. I may be wrong (1st time for everything ) but I just seem to remember that with a set I used to have. Oh well, to each his own!!! :)

thank you for these information, I belive that this car was build in San Jose (maybe my spelling is wrong), the ford dealership in iceland did not import maverick´s (don´t know why) me and my father now own 3 out of 5 maverick´s that people know about in iceland so it´s hard to find a parts car

here is one picture og the cougar lights

Pretty cool find!(y) I have a therory on how that Maverick could have gotten to Iceland. When my husband was in the Army ( a LONG time ago ), he was stationed in Iceland. Back then a serviceman could bring a vehicle with him to Iceland, but when it was time to leave for the US, the vehicle could not leave the country. It had to be left behind. I don't know if that is the way it is now, but maybe the car was once owned by a military officer or GI and that's how it came to find it's home in Iceland.

San Jose is probably the DSO (72). What is the VIN?
