Moultrie, GA Swap Meet 11/15-17/2007

I am going with a small group, 3 or 4 of us.

I would love to meet other members.

I wish I could take a Maverick. But it is not in the cards this year.

I will ask my uncle if he wants to bring his trailer of Maverick parts.
He keeps going on about not having much money for his toys, but is sitting on this trailer of parts. He doesn't have anything rare, but he has some real 'bread and butter' parts like quarter end caps galore, fenders, doors, clutch pedals, dashes, etc...

 

"Bread and Butter" parts like clutch pedals! I thought they were rare.

What day is everyone going, Friday or Saturday, or both?

I will be coming down Saturday. Can't wait to see those I already know again and hopefully put a few more faces with names for those of you I haven't met yet.

 

I usually go every year, but this year is doubtful.

 

i will be there Sat. morning about 8:00am.

everyone wear something...maverick/comet...

just inside the gate to the left is a tower, in the past i have hooked up with people there at 10:00 am. we could try that if it will work for all..cell #s work well also...

I believe it will be about a 4 hour drive for me, so I'll plan on being there sometime between 9 and 10 A.M. Anyone wants my cell number, send me a PM.

 

I am considering going both Friday and Saturday. But I am now leaning more toward Saturday since it appears most will be there then. Frank the red and white tower is a GREAT place to meet, readily visible.

Yeah.
He doesn't have anything rare.
Just lots and lots of common stuff.
The problem is that he gathers all this stuff, and says he will sell it when the trailer gets full, but then he doesn't sell it.

He took a trailer of Fairlane/Mav/Comet parts to the annual local Ford swap last year (Mar 06) and sold some stuff, but it has just sat and accumulated back since then.

I doubt very seriously I can get him to bring it.
It is a 6 hr trip for us.

I believe the plan for us is to leave Fri noonish.
Get a motel, then spend all Sat at the show.

 

Also, I have a little of this-n-that, stuff I might bring for trading material.

My problem is that I have piles of stuff laying in my wherehouse/shop, but most of it I cannot bring my self to part with.
I am a packrat.

I'll probably bring some 351w heads and the carbon fiber interior parts I took from Mavstang before it went to crusher heaven.
I am sure I can think of more.
Probably be somewhat limited on space though, unless we bring a trailer.
