I just picked up a set of rear seat belt slot covers and I notice that
the ones I have are not as wide as the slot, they fit be not exactly
right. I'm wondering if there are a difference in years. My rear panels
    are out of a '72 Comet....and idea?

I have never noticed a difference in size.

    Got a pix?

I'll take a picture today when I get home. I'm also wrong about the rear
    panels....they came from a '73 LDO Maverick...not a Comet...my black
interior is from the Comet...duh....too many parts to keep track of.
Can you measure a slot in a panel and give me the dimensions Craig?

    Thanks, Don.

Positive, the '73 is sitting in my mothers garage and it's a 2 door bucket
car and these seem to be the original panels from that car.

Member here hooked me up with them. If you go to www.flickr.com/osborne33 you can see the rear panels without the
covers. They don't appear to be altered. My old panels didn't have a
slot so I have nothing to compare them too. It would be the interior
    swap photo's.......which I can't even view here at work...sucks.

make sure you put the slot covers in correctly. they only go in one way (I think). You could have the upside down??

No way to install them upside down.

Maybe I am not sure what you are talking about. I looked at the pictures....and everything looked O.K.

Thanks Joe, have to measure them today. Kid had the car when I got home from work and got back just about the time I was going to bed. Ok....slots are 1 x 3 in my panels. Here's
my problem...the covers can move side to side alot and then the slot shows. see pictures

Do the ones in my pictures seem like the correct part? I might have to dig thru the parts car and see if I can locate the original ones. The PS cover fits the best and the DS one will almost fall thru the slot if I mess with it
much. It doesn't snap in very tight. Both sides are loose side to side. Not
that big of a deal since I don't sit back there and this isn't a show car by
any means...just wish they fit better. And this is no slam of the member
I got them from. Rather have these than no cover.
