The John Force crew with a new marketing gimic for Ford? Looks like a Hemi to me. http://jalopnik.com/cars/sema/sema-2007-ford-boss-500-to-burn-nitro-316917.php
yeah, hemi with ford dress, too bad they didnt let them (ford) use the new design,....but no, NHRA wont allow new developement
Sure they will, but nuthin out performs the old Hemi. Burnstein tried to run the Mcgee Twin Cam motor. Good potential, but to costly and difficult to assemble. A few guys have tried the Chevy BB and small block, but no luck. They work OK in nostaigia T/F, but not in pro classes. The last true Ford T/F motor was the old SOHC, but it was a granade. Cams would start to climb out of the heads and the cam chain was so long.
a new design was in the works a few years ago with a ford design but nhra killed it, said they would not allow it to run and no new developement or any type. this is just another repackaged mopar design just like a TFX or BAE hemi. the last ford t/f engine wasnt the sohc, it was the boss9, it was short lived tho as well.expensive and limited on a few parts. the sohc problems were fixed with the gear drive.but yeah,... in Nostalgia classes they will try and run anything.some live, some dont
