    Was that roller cam, too, or a flat tappet? You really can't compare one to the other.

    Well, guys, I verified today that my cam is shot. I put the same lifter and pushrod into all four of the holes for #2 and #3 cylinders. Exhaust checked out OK at .296 for both (advertised at .2947).

    On intake (failure was on #3 intake, advertised .2800 lift) I got .283 on #2 and only .176 on #3.

    I was hoping to find no wear and then gamble on just dropping in a new lifter (trying to be cheap:huh:).

    I guess it is safe to say that is a No Go...:(

    Now saving up to buy a Comp Xtreme Energy with .524/.531 lift and new valve springs, etc. All in a matched set from Comp.
