Tagged and registered in my name and sitting in the parking lot here at work waiting for me to drive her home.....and so far I am very happy with my second Ebay Maverick.

Got the tags and registration taken car of this morning.

only problem I had on the drive home was a flat tire. I think the tires were a little narrow for the rims and it leaked down around the bead. The guy put BRAND New tires on it before I picked it up. He put P205's on the front and 225's on the rear but the rims were 8 inch Mustang GT rims and I think the 205's were a little bit skinny and didn't seal quite right.

on the plus side the steering and front end is so nice and tight that the tire was half flat and I drove it for quite some time like that and didn't even realize it was going flat until 2 guys pulled along side and pointed it out.. I had been driving on the sidewall long enough to pretty well ruin the new tire and the car wasn't shimmying, shaking or pulling to one side at all.
Luckily he also gave me the old set of tires and stock Maverick rims which were in pretty good shape also, so I just pulled over and threw one of them on and headed for home.

Love the car so far... The Flow Masters make it sound a little too much like a truck in ny humble opinion but I am not going to complain about brand new Flow master exhausts.

Also another plus was with the 4 speed Manual I got 17.8 mpg on the trip home which I am just happy as a pig in a puddle with that kind of mileage, considering my old V8 Maverick only got 10 - 12 mpg. I'll take almost 18 all day long

one other thing... I don't know if it is just the 4 speed and the gear ratio or if the engine actually has more ponies, but my old 302 Maverick with the automatic and shift kit was putting out about 300RWHP and the engine and tranny setup in this Maverick would eat my old one for lunch.

4 speed makes it more fun for sure. Maybe just a better application of the hp via the ratio involved of the 4 forward gears vs 3 forward gears in a c4?

If it's a wide ratio 4 speed, you got a good streetable first gear.
That will make the SOTP (seat o the pants) power feel good compared to the higher geared C4. That and the closer gear spread making better use of the power band.

That is what she is, and 2nd gear is a head snapper when the 4 bbl kicks in.

Love the 4 speed, 8 cyl, and dual exhaust. I haven't lit into it hard enough to know if it is a posi rear yet and I forgot to ask the guy I bought it from  (duh!! on my part) LOL
