Ok guys, I'm getting closer to getting wheels for my maverick. Currently I have 14x6's with 195/60's up front and 235/60's in the rear.

I saw Dennis's with GT wheels (15's) and a guy a few block from me with chrome Magnum 500's 15x7's.

I realy like the Magnums, but would like to see other wheels on mavs. I plan to run 215/60x15's up front and 255/60x15's in the rear.

    What are you guys running?

    Merry Christmas to ya.

In my opinion ...Stance, and wheel and tire type and sizes can make or break a car. I `ve seen cars that were in primer spots and in need of LOTS of shall we say..."attention". But they had the Stance and tires/wheels just right and the car looked really cool anyway! :bananaman My car runs Weld Pro-stars.

I am a fan of the Torq Thrust Ds, or for a newer look the Torq Thrust IIs. I'll post pics of my Ds after Christmas.

    .

M.A.V., what kind of setup do you have on your car to get that stance?

I know it's nowhere near the racing setup you're looking for, but maybe it's enough for an idea...

M.A.V. what size tires are you using? Welds do look good all polished up.

Corbin, my PC is on the blink and I can't use your link(listed on another post) to see the Torque trusts. can you post a photo here?

i agree with M.A.V. wheels can make a hell of a differance! even if the car is shotty it can still make a world of differance.. i think someone here bought a wagon and the paint was't all that and he put his maverick rims on it and it make it look like night and day.

here a pic.. not that you guys haven't seen it already.

    Marry Christmas too!

Weld Wheel Drag stars by Cragar... you can't go wrong with these... you can't actully get these anymore new but you can get pro stars which are the same thing just made by Weld Racing not Cragar Weld Wheel. Light very stong for up and down pressure.... don't road race with them you will bend them!

I had a friend with the Welds early on when they fist came out. Within a year of daily driver duty they were cracked at the lug bolt holes. This guy was a perfectionist and had torqued the wheels with a torque wrench. I do like the look and I think the Crager version may have been a little stronger then the original Welds as Weld was only for Racing and Crager was smart enough to realize people put these on street driven cars too.

I agree on the wheels set off the car.

My choices are Magnum 500's in chrome, Torque trusts II or D or, well that's why I made this post. What are you guys running. Mavman I do like your wheels/tires, but Man they cost more then my car did. Sorry I can't do that now. Mine was as low as yours, but I just raised it up about an inch or so. I got tired of bottoming out on driveways and I couldn't get a floor jack under the car when I had a flat last month.

I spoke to Frank at Stockton Wheel about Magnums. There is a guy two blocks from me that has the twin to may car with Magnums and they look great. Then I saw on the start up page this green Grabber with Torque thrusts and wow.

I guess I just wanna see what other guys are running to see if there is something I've missed.
    Thanks guys and Happy Holidays.

I think Cragar SS wheels are just about right for our cars, but I would also love to have a set of torque thrust D's.

Cragars don't look bad. What size are you guys running as well as wheel type. I was thinking of 15X7's.
