There is nothing wrong with those headers. They are fine for a mild 302. I had them on my old 302.

Some say they will, some say they won't. I know the Hooker 6901's fit. Bought mine used off of ebay, only used a few hours, for $85. Bargins are out there, just have to look around.

I have been running 88300 forever it seems and they fit quite good!
Also you will need the drop bracket for power steering
    The Summit headers are 1 1/2 tube and 88300 are 1 5/8

    Very true.
I considered this when posting, however the original poster has a stock 302 and was originally wanting to run Tri-Ys... So the 1.5" tubes might actually be a better match to what he is looking for.

    On cheap headers:
I have used MANY different versions of these headers over the years, from different makers, and for the most part, they all fit about the same.
The biggest differences are tube size and overall quality of welds and such.
You get what you pay for, but sometimes the cheap stuff is just what you need.

The guestion I have about headers is not so much the install but the maintenance aftrer. Do you need toi take them off to get to the spark plugs? Do they tend to loosen up and leak after a while?
    I've heard both things said.
