watch the plug wires. i have to use the ones with a 90 on the end. if you have some that are close you might want to put the heat sleeves on them.:)

I had the same wires on my maverick. to be honest, you will have better luck with them if you use a msd 6 or 7 box, and a msd coil,
i changed from a single point distributor to the following

    MSD Pro Billet Distributor
MSD 6a Box (MSD 6al.. the L signifies Limiter, as in having a built in rev limiter and you can change that with a chip)
    MSD Blaster SS Coil
    MSD 8.8 Superconductor Wires.

I spent 750 bucks from Summit Racing for everything
I set mine at 38* at 3000 RPMS and i went .5 to .6 faster in the quarter mile.

i always hated using the local speed shops cause the prices were always higher. and i had to drive 60 miles. couple of years ago at the et finals in bakersfield i was having plug problems and we couldn't figure it out. two guys on our team, one being badmav7086's dad and another that owns don's hot rod shop in tucson got me straightened out. i used a set of plugs that don had and everything was great after that. won 2 track championships after that. i asked the next day what i owed him for the plugs. he wouldn't take anything for them. i ordered some from checkers after we got back. they were $5 each so he just gave me $40 bucks worth of plugs and a lot of info. i now use his shop most of the time. i think the extra cost is worth the extra benefits.:)
