Got my new Rotisserie in from Eastwood. Theyt said it would be 4 to 6 weeks. It was just barely over a week. It is the powder coated Plus model. I think it's going to work great. Now I don't have any excuses for not working on the Resto. The 1st pic is out of the Eastwood catalogue.
That sure is a pretty one!!! I hope to be hanging my GT on mine tomorrow. Can you take a close up on how you mounted the rear? When I did my Sprint I just mounted it in the rear bumper holes. Yours looks like it would be a better way.
Dennis there was a heavy steel bracket mounted to the frame rail on each side. I guess they were dual exhaust hangers. This what I mounted to. See pics.
Andy I waited until they ran it on sale. With 10% off it was 1400.00 including shipping. They do have a cheaper model without powder coating & without hydraulic jacks.
Not bad at all! If i was going to buy one, id get one thats "the best" as I dont want to "wish I got the other one"
I think those brackets you used are the shipping brackets, used to tie the car down on the truck when being transported, usually they were removed by the dealer. Awesome Rotisserie!!!!!
Did everything that you needed to hang it come with it, or did you have to order extra brackets.? looks really nice.
dave that is what those are used for. The dealers were soposed to remove them some did and some didn't. They make nice places to tie down the car and not scrach anything.
Thanks Mike. I figured it was the shipping brackets but couldn't tell for sure in the original pics. My only concern there, is when the car is sideways as you have it pictured. I dont know if they are strong enough to sustain that constant pressure with out bending or worse, folding while your working on the car. I doubt they were designed for lateral strength. You might want to beef them up. I will look and see how that will work for me today. Sure is nice working on the bottom with one of these, aint it?
