got a great deal today

    Today I bought a 1975 4dr maverick. It has a 250 C4. It has power disc brakes on the front. They were driving it until 2003. They said it was running fine and just quit so they had it towed and never did anything to it. They motor will turn over easy by hand and the brakes still work. The body is fair. The best part is it only cost $50. I am going to use the disc brakes off this one for my 1972 maverick

    Would you consider strapping the 250 to a pallet for shipping? If your up for it, give me a price for the engine and your time, I'll haggle with my wife over it. If your in and she's agreeable, I'll have it picked up.

    If someone closer to Dallas has a running 250 I would be interested in talking. I spun a bearing Thursday. Dont know how bad yet but she's hammerin HARD. Easier to throw something in it to drive while I rebuild the old one, or prep the wife for the V8 a little earlier than she planned. :)

    I got it to run but it would only run for a few seconds at a time and it shook bad

    That's pretty normal for a car that's been sitting a while. It'll probably smooth out and run alot better with some fresh gas and a good tune up.

    Great deal... the spindles alone are worth more then that.

    Yea I'll work on it more tomorrow. I figured the power disc setup was worth $200 easy
