heater core change out...

    I have a 75 maverick and i cant get to the heater core. I can not reach a couple of clips. I am note sure if i am goin about this the right way. if anyone has any suggestions on how to make this easier please help.

    which clips? on the "box" that all the heater core is in? is the car air conditioned? more info please

    yea the clips on the box. it seems theres one in back i cant get off. the car is air conditioned. i thought i had all the clips off but the cover still wont give much.

    There are 3 or 4 studs that stick out on the firewall I took those off when I did mine made mine alot easier.:bananaman :clap: :bananaman

    I got all the clips off. If I remove those bolts from the firewall will the bottom come off. Also is the heater core readily accessable with the bottom cover off?

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    You will need to take the heater box loose from the firewall in order to reach those clips and in order to be able to get the heater core out.
