Drum Brake adjusters

    Are there supposed to be reverse adjusters on the front drums? Are they for rear only?

    They are on the front as well.

    AutoZone actually had the correct adjuster kits for the Maverick. You get a set of 2 in the package.

    Yeah, you are right. I was thinking of the hardware kit which has both sides. The adjusters have to be side specfic due to the starwheel.

    Exactly....they should be marked "R" and "L".

    The reason I ask is...

    I get a lot of moaning from the front brakes, and I didn't know if they were supposed to be there and if they weren't contributing to heat buildup in the drum. It's probably just the way my girlfriend drives it, tho, I tel her to do some hard stops to take the glaze off the shoe linings, but she don't listen to nobody this time of the month.:rofl2:

    Your brake hoses may need replacing too. The liner in them can collapse and then the shoes don't get released. They'll work like a check valve when they get old.
