    I have been driveing a maverick in one way or another sence 1974. My mom owned one and it was the car I got to drive then my wifes mom owned a 1975 4 door and then my stepfather got a 1974 2 door from an old lady in south florida. It has a 200 six and I inherited it about 5 years ago. I was going to try to restore a 1967 cougar but decided to try to restore the Maverick insted. But I would like to get a 302 or 289 V8 and a grabber hood. I am just starting so that is why I joined this forum. I am looking for a hood for now and a V8. I beleve the hood is a 1972 or 1973 the one with the 2 scoops on it.

    There are new Grabber hoods available in carbon fiber unless you are set on an original. There are some out there but like Don said, they are getting hard to find. Good luck :) ...post pics of your car when you can.
