Hey all, greeting from corpus christi texas. I dont currently own a mav, but i joined because i would eventually like to find a maverick that i could call my own. MY first car was a 75 mav, staight 6 250 with 3 on the tree. It was a baby blue and i wish i had not let it go back then. anyway, i am here to learn and meet other mav owners. i am not much of a mechanic, but i can turn a wrench.
Lived in Corpus a while (actually Portland) and really enjoyed it there. Hope to go back someday. Welcome to the board. I know where there is one for sale that matches the description you gave, but it has quite a bit of rust...not sure if you want to take that on.
thanks scooper77515. is angelton towards houston? is that mav for sale 2dr? i question if you dont mind. what models had the larger rear and front chrome bumpers? the mavs i seen in most pics have the (thin) bumpers. :Handshake
Welcome from Pittsburgh Pa! Stayed in your beautiful city couple weekends back in the 70's while in the service
Welcome aboard! The 69.5-72's had the small bumpers, 73 had a small rear but a midsize front, and 74-77 had the big bumpers front and rear.
thanks razorsharp for your reply. my 75 mav had the large front and rear chrome bumpers. have you seen any 75mavs with a baby blue paint? and what is LDO? im trying to learn as much as i can. thanks.....
Yes, the light(baby) blue was actually a fairly common color on them. I owned a 76 several years ago that color.
