How about the Ranchos that Calvert sells?

A good "starter" shock for lower horsepower levels. I used to run a set. Now that I recall, i've had lakewood 50/50's on my car, then stepped up to the Rancho's, then went to the qa1's, now it's got Koni's on the front and double adjustable Afco's on the back.

With my new AJE front end, my car does not lift in the front, and does not seem to launch that great. My 60' times are still about the same as they used to be (1.50). The suspension is very loose so I'm thinking my front shocks are too tight. However, I called AJE and they said that they don't make a looser shock for the front for my setup and that I probably need stiffer rear shocks. I might try the Ranchos or QA1's. Does Afco make a rear shock for the Maverick stock shock mount locations?

It was my understanding that the only bolt on "Drag Shock" for the rear was the Hurst darg shocks. But they quit making them in like the 80's I think. I have a set on mine they work great with mono leafs and cal trac bars. Good luck finding a set though

I have some, but they are set loose and are not limiting the suspension. I thought I was going to need them cause I used to pull the front wheels about 1 foot, but now I don't even pick the front end up anymore. Any suggestions?

Maybe try setting them tighter, dont let the front fall as much for faster weight transfer.
