OK heres the scoop, our neighbor dropped off an old distributor and some chrome valve covers. We were excited about the covers, and happy because the distributor had a nice blue cap. I took off the cap to put in on my car and much to my suprise was a petronix ignitor kit inside. I have a question for anybody now, where do the two wires hook up to and what is the air gap???

I put a pertronix ignitor in my 65 falcon, and it is really handy. The two wires attach to the coil.

Red wire goes to + side of coil, black wire to - side. Air gap .030".
Make sure your coil has at least 1.5 ohms resistance on the primary side, if it doesn't you can use a ballast resistor between the + side of the coil and the ignition switch wire / pertronix red wire.
