    Congratulations! Just little late info, when your dist. is timed and still not in oil pump, just bump your starter little bit and dist. will drop in. Always recheck timing,, easy to get off a tooth or so. Glad all is coming along,,, could use some of that 80F temp up here 7F with strong winds!

    Gald to hear you got it running. Gene's book sounds like the ticket. I am 3 weeks behind you. Should have been 2 weeks, but we had minus 0 temps today and the propane heater might have got the garage up to 50. So I played with my Cougar tail light grills inside today. I cant wait to hear it a drive it.

    I have the Barry Grant Demon tuning book it was a great resource. After I read it I tuned mine no problem. I was scared to death of carbs since I grew up working on fuel injection......:rofl2:See I aint MR know it all after all:(:D

    Haven't looked at the plugs yet. They will look bad because 1) carb is running rich, and 2) I have mostly just idled it, and havent hit the throttle much.
