    That will be a good thing for the next owner to do

    I have 2 76 mavericks and 3 71 comets so I am kinda cleaning out the closet:bananaman. I have a 2004 yellow mach1, 73 formula455, 2 k5 blazers, 2 dually crew cab fords for my 2 lance campers and 4 company astro vans + 1 big rig, so you see! I wash cars every other day and charge batteries every other other day.:bowdown:

    Yeh I am going to post them tomorrow if I can figure out how, I have another comet 1971 same color golden rod with 3y interior loaded ac the works 302 tinted windows greenish gold interior orange gold vinyl top great car everyone knocks on door to buy car.

    Well whoever was beating your chops about the car being a 70 is wrong...
    The "1" in front of the VIN proves it's a 71 model.

    No busting chops, hes right the dmv had the info wrong on the papers the car was assembled in late 70 but is actually a 71 . heres my interest, The majority says there were almost no 6 banggers ordered in 71 for the GT package but I contest that and ask what were the production numbers and etc? The year was never of much interest to me but I would like to know (with data support) how many 71-etc comet gt cars were ordered with a 200cid engine

    What majority? Plenty of 71 comets with 6 cylinders out there. imo, what you need is to determine if you have a real GT. If it really is, you will want this documented somehow before you sell.

    Get the Marti report for $50. In your case, it will be worth it if it is a GT.
