Seth, been awhile since I spoke to you... Mine had a six when I got it, had a huge hole in the side of the block and don't know what it had for a automatic. I had a regular Comet with a 302 C/4 that was wrecked so I did the swap. Has that hindered me in any way? This 73 GT I have has to be a GT as far as I can tell. I don't recall what you needed from me and I am not sure I ever sent anything to you. Always been ashamed to take pics of my project cause it aint worth looking at in its state. But I am thinking maybe I need to take pics to show the origional paint and stuff with the body, what do you think? Not necessary?...

I was curious if these rear side panels for retractable rear belts? Mine are tucked in the corner closer to the intersection of the seat pads.

Also is this seat shaped more? My rear seat seems flatter in the lower pad.

    Ratio,
You've just been looking at Mavs and not at Comets. :bouncy:
Comets use the same hood latch and then add a plastic extension piece to support the grille.
The angle this photo was taken at makes it look wierd. :D

I think there should be three stainless trim bars that run horizontally in the grille if it is a GT. Might be later years only though.

    Gene-

...you were going to get back to me. I don't want anybody to be ashamed of the condition of their cars and not send me pics. If anything, it adds to the flavor of the collection. Send everything that you can to me:

Your name, contact number and address, VIN number, blue door data tag info, pics-any, description of condition, and any info that you would like to share such as history, modifications etc. Add your current drivetrain setup-I don't need to know your cam profile, just that you have swapped in a V8 or dropped a 3 spd. manual in favor of a 5 spd. etc.

    Thanks,

    Seth

Gene's just embarrased because he hasn't cut his grass in a while.

And his parts car isn't doing very well either!!!

Ok. I will create some sort of file with the info you have described. Will take just a bit but will start on it next week. I just want to put it into a file all neatly so that I don't forget something or send duplicates all crazy like.:)

    Comet GT

I have not looked in a while, but here in Wichita Falls there was/is a 71
200 Comet GT. Back about 1994 I asked if it was for sale and it was, but
the owner wanted $850 dollars which I thought was too much so I did
not buy it. I'll go look in a few days and see if it's still here. It was white.
