Did you have as as hard of a time trying to find them? It was rought trying to find them for a sensible price. Do you have the thin 70-72 bumpers? Whats your opinion on the way they look w/ Big Bumpers? Thanx, Thom
$300 ??!!! $90.00 ??!!! Sheesh...I paid $20 for mine a little over 5 years ago. I wouldn't pay more than about $35 max. I cannot believe some of these junk-yards. They's be lucky to sell them at all. It's not like hundreds of people are looking to buy a set of mid '70s Bobcat taillights! Just us Maverick guys who want to customize our cars a little...
T.L. I know and the real sad part is I was really considering paying $300 only cause I was so obsessed w/ the look and searched far and wide and always came up w/ nothing. So I thought it was my only chance but DAB pointed me in the right direction. I thought I was never going to find a set. Thom
Well I'm sure glad you didn't pay that much for them. I mean, they look cool, but not $300 worth of cool. I think the taillights on Hack's car are the best-looking I've ever seen on a Maverick. Combining the '64 bezels with the '65 lenses was an almost ingenious idea. No back-up lights though. Some people don't care, but since my back window is tinted, I need the lights to see when I'm backing up at night. Of course one could always install some in the rear vallance like on the Mustangs...
I got a set of n.o.s. Bobcat lights by posting a request for help in locating a set on a Pinto/Bobcat Yahoo group. Cost me $50 + $15 shipping to Canada. What really hurt was the $45 CDN that the brockers charged to take them thru the customs. It may seem excessive, but they were worth it to me. John B.
