I just bought a '76 Maverick for my son and we are hoping to build this car into a nice little street car. I've built cars (or in the process of) for a couple of my kids now and this time, instead of a Mustang, my son chose something different than the other kids and we went with a Maverick. After some serious shopping, we picked up a nice little rust free 2 door, 302 powered Mav.
So, I have a few questions such as: What is involved in converting to earlier style bumpers (I've noticed a thread or two on the subject, but there seems to be a few different opinions floating around). We'd like to pick up a cowl hood and where can we get some interior restoration parts? If anyone could point us in the right direction, we'd be grateful. Thanks! :Handshake

Welcome to the board Rich. Try the search option for any info on the bumper swap. This will bring up all the old threads on a subject. One of the guys on here builds a nice carbon fiber cowl hood. Try Autokrafters for some of the aftermarket parts. Anything else post here on the parts wanted forum or try ebay. I've spent a little time in Whittman at Speedworld.:Welcome:

Hi Don, thanks for the welcome! I was down at Speedworld earlier today...picked up plenty of sun too! The Nostalgia Drags/ car show and parts swap meet was today. They did a great job, it was a heck of an event! I spent 8 hours down there today.

I'll try the search option and see what I can find! Thanks!
