    I have a 1976 Maverick Stallion, and 85 More Mavericks and Comets in Inventory.
    All 9 of mine got ripped off from the Time I bought them till I picked them up,,, I do feel for you,,, That sucks

    My deluxe cap has a cable which attaches to filler neck via a stud that goes through one of the holes. I've found it dangling by the cable several times after coming out of Wal-Mart or where ever.

    Back in 2005, someone stole one of the Maverick emblems off my '74 Grabber while I was in the Mall Of Georgia.

    Can you buy just the cable, is it the same as mustang, I don't use my deluxe for that reason

    I've been looking for a cable as well. In my infinite Wisdom I actually CUT the cable off my Deluxe Cap many years ago (the cap on my car was on my Grabber before it was well). Now that they are worth the big $$$ I would like it back on. Can't find it for sale seperately though ...
