I know every car is different but I was wanting to know what kind of setting others here are running on there caltarck traction bars. I have done a best of a 1.6 60ft with the top hole and 1/4 of a turn to the tight with a 26 inch drag radial.

To accurately set the bars you need to have the car on 4 wheel scales. Otherwise set the bars the way the car is pulling, If the car tries to turn left while going down the track, either loosen right bar or put some more preload on the left bar.The bottom holes produce the most leverage, therefor more bite. I used the top holes for awhile, then went to the lower holes, What a difference. You are correct in saying about the difference in cars, Mine is preloaded more on the left than right, Due to my weight and gas tank sets off to the drivers side.. Mine does wear the left tire more than the right, I'm sure because of this. I have pulled 1.4 60 foot times on drag radials.

I went from 26x10.5 E.T. Streets to the 28X11.5 E.T. Streets to lower my rpm through the traps.

If you have the brs in the lower hole, would the adjustment be less? 1/4 turn on the bottom would equal 1/2 on the top?

    Don't use the top hole!

Settings aren't the same for all cars. Preload on the right side one FULL turn.
Preload left side just with 1/4 turn.

Make sure either you or someone about your size is in the car.

Go to the track and play with your settings untill you find the right combo.

    Good luck and have fun.

    As always just my .02

Gent, I agree 100% with KillComet, that's a nice 60 with what you are using.

Hey Eddie I got something that belongs to you, send me your address and I ship you your center cap.

Sorry I haven't been on the board, work has now gone to 60 hours a week and I've been working on the house this past winter.

Call me sometime Rick and catch me up on what's happening.
