Now I have a small leak from the front under the radiator. Being a broke dude, I will have to find this leak and solder it myself using the patented Cold Heat technology. I will drain and remove the radiator, plug the bottom hose, overflow and top cap. Then I will place it in a kiddie pool and blow into the upper hose thus pinpointing the leaks via bubbles. The sheer genius of it all humbles me. By applying the patented Cold Heat technology, I will be able to seal the pinholes forever or at least until I win the lottery and can buy a new one or have the old one professionally cleaned and resealed.
If you are trying to just plug the holes with solder and aren't having any luck then use a short piece of stranded wire (16 ga. works) over the hole and solder the wire over the hole. That way it will stay plugged.
It's gloomy and rainy today so no work being done. I don't have the luxury of an enclosed place to work unfortunately. Also, I drained the radiator by releasing the petcock and it rusty colored which was expected. I inserted a hose in the top and let it run until clear. Then I started the car and kept the hose running. After a minute or three the water became dark again and I kept it going until it ran clearish again. I added some stop leak for now and the drips ceased. I'll pull it out and redo it as soon as the glory that is my Ford Windstar gets back on the road. Right now the Comet is the only vehicle we can use. The engine sounds better since the flushing. Is that normal? Like it sounds way better.
