15" high or wide? Unless you want the ricer look, four inches of rubber outside the fender, plan on a 15 x 7 to 15x8.5 with the right backset. I have 15/8.5 with a 4 4/8bs with P275-60's and they fit nicely. Most Mavs are running 255's on the rear and it is a great look.. Scotty P

1974 Maverick I bought for $500 8 years ago when I was 16. Since then I have invested $30,000 into it.
Scotty P, Did you have to do anything special to get the 275's to not rub the inner quarter. I had 275 and I was lovin them but my quarters were tearing them up. Wrong offset on rim? Thom

im running a set of 275 60's on the rear and just had to use a BFH on the corner of the wheel wells, also fit a 28x10 goodyear slick too...

I am running a set of 295/50R15 on a 15x10 rim -44 offset and my tires don't rub..... but I added a slight shakle lift, until I can get a four leaf setup

I rolled the inner lip slightly. Nothing else but 4leafs and a very thin spacer to keep it off the leafs. I do not see how a 15x10 would fit INSIDE the wheel well. When my springs settle the tire will be up and inisde the well. Almost a wheel tub look w/o the expense. Scotty P

my tires (28X10 MT ET DRAGS on 15X10 rims) stick out just a little from the outer edge of the wheel well, on the inside the wheel does not stick out any more then the stock wheels there pretty close to the traction bars ,but no problems . the back of my car has air shocks (I know  ) so it sits kinda high. I hope to change the springs and shocks this summer

you should be able to get any rim to fit as long as it has the right offset but the tires I am running are just within the legal limit in Ontario anyway

Squall, could you post a picture? I would love to see a 295 tucked in the wheel well! That is impressive the 275 takes all the room I have. Can not get a pencil between the leaf and the sidewall or a hand above to tire either. I'm impressed.. Scotty P:clap:

    Squall,

Me too, me too! I would love to see that tire on there. A pic of underneath would be great also.

    Scott,
Do you think 17'' by 8'' rim with a 265 tire and 4.5 backspacing clear the spring and wheel well lip without rolling it?

I have no idea. Looking at mine I would think so. Most tire shops will measure for you and they seem to know all the tricks. After all, they want to sell you the biggest, widest most expensive wheels they can!! Scotty P

I'm carrying mine down to the tire shop soon as I get it back from gettin the 9" put in.
Gonna try to get 15x10 rims on a 24" tire to fit properly.
Their doing the fitting so if it don't work its their loss not mine.:D

your 17x8's with the 265's should clear fine,.... we have the same on ours without any clearance problems
