Progress on the '71...

    well today it was absolutely beautiful. it was 72 and SUNNY :yahoo: so i took advantage of it by getting some work done outside. first thing this morning i cut my grandmother's yard, then my own, then proceeded to work on my '71. I managed to get the back brakes on and hooked up and changed all 4 wheels. I ordered some new brake parts for the front that will be in tomorrow, so as soon as the parts come in i will have stopping power :bowdown:

    i just ordered some new parts for the engine as well. next week im putting in a '91 5.0 engine with a carb on it. so if all goes well, i will be driving it to the local cruise-in (and the sheriff's office for an inspection :rolleyes:)

    I had some wheels like that. (5 lug) I stored them at work and someone stole them. I guess the scrap price of aluminum was to much for them. Your car is looking good.

    Thanks for the support guys. I'm growing attatched to this little car. i should have it painted soon, hopefully atleast by the end of summer but the sooner the better. I've already turned down $1K from one guy and a '72 Comet GT from another :rolleyes:

    Oh depending on the condition I think I woudl have had to taken the 1972 Comet, if it was a real GT but that is just me

    It was a real GT, but im just kinda attatched to the lil "smurf" as i've come to call it :rolleyes:

    If I were the sherrif I would have a few questions for you... especialy knowing you passed up a GT.
