For a street car they are good but they do poop out around 5500 rpm.nice low end grunt manifold though.

what kind of heads do you have.....the performers range is 1500 to 5500 but if you have free flowing heads i would get a performer RPM or RPM AIRGAP.

those both have an RPM range of 1500 to 6500

    also ...
i also have torker if you want ........but i made the mistake of putting a single plane intake on a COMPLETELY stock engine....didnt work out so well.

Bowstick, if you don't like that torker289, they sell REALLY easily. Just post it for sale and see how long it lasts.

As for the Performer, it is decent, but it does crap out pretty soon. Many say it is just a little better than stock and allows you to use a 4 barrel carb.

I will never go back to a dual plane again. Even the Performer with a 2" spacer was an improvement, but a single plane just feels perkier off the line and has a crisper throttle response.

It would be a very good part for a mild street build.

well the long block i have seems a little to hungry for that manifold, based on what you guys are saying. its a '91 roller with 10:1 comp, .040'' pistons, GT40 heads ,and a ford racing E cam, hopefully it'll be in the 300+ hp range. im thinking i'll need a carb in the 650 range and im looking for an intake that will work well with the whole combo.

    any suggestions?

I have a RPM Air Gap, I am extremely happy with it.

a SINGLE plane has an OPEN plenum..and shorter runners (good for high RPMS)

a DUAL plane looks split in the middle and the runners cross-cross and has longer runners for increased air velocity (usually good for lower RPMS)

the GT40's were already on it. i was hoping to sell/trade the ones i bought last month to finance most of what i need to finish this engine

I am running the torker, and very pleased with it. The one bowstick has was my old one. It is a little bit ported out. He doesn't sound too happy with it on his stock-ish engine. He might sell it to you...if you asked nicely:D
