Anyone have a kit number or particular model of a Sanden (or equivalent rotary compressor) that would make for an easy swap into 73 with a 200 six? I'm willing to stick with the r12 (actually will be using "FREEZE 12") so I can have the same seals, oil, etc. My shop guy said someone sold a unit and kit that mounted using the same brackets the factory a/c used.
Check with Classic Auto Air http://www.classicautoair.com/ This place has mount kits http://www.nostalgicairparts.com/ac/miscellaneous-mount-kits-47.php You should be able to pick up a new Sanden compressor for under $200. There are kits on ebay as well.
I did a quick search and find it intresting. Thanks for posting indy http://autorefrigerants.com/co00030.htm
Yep, it looks like Ebay or the like is the source for Freeze 12 in the smaller canisters and kits. I have yet to find the Freeze 12 locally at any of the retail shops like Autozone, O'Reily, etc.
I use it I've used it for around 5 years now and LOVE it, never had any problems using it and it is MUCH COOLER than R-134 and at a lower head pressure.
