was wondering what paint code other Stallions were. My car, Black/silver, original color, but both door tag and buck tag show 9D (polar white) Got a Marti report, it lists the same 9D polar white, and ordered with Stallion group option. Did Ford just take white bodies and respray them for the stallion package?

There were 5 different colors available for the Stallions. The main body color that all Stallions shared was black. The secondary colors were silver, white, silver blue, red and yellow. It sounds like your Stallion had either been repainted at some time in it's life, or someone at the factory goofed and the car was painted the wrong color. It would'nt have been the first time a mistake was made on the assembly line.

Thought about that, but there isn't a color code for black in 76. There is a link to another stallion on the registry pages, with a PIC of the door label, it ALSo shows paint code 9D

    JCWGrover,
My Marti Report for my Stallion has 1G as the color code as is the door tag. 1g is silver. As said before could be a factory mix up or a repaint. I personally love the white and black stallions.

Sounds like your Stallion was originally black/white ....

you wont find a code for the black since all Stallion had black on them. you'll just find the code for the 'other' color that was on the car

JCW, your car was probably repainted. If i remember right, on the ebay ad the past owner put, it was mentionned that the car was repainted but it was not mention that it was originally white. Also, if i remember right, your Stallion doesnt have the decal on the fender and that could be because of a repaint too.
