Does anyone out there make a "drop in" A/C kit for Mavericks? I checked "Vintage Air's" web site, not expecting anything (good call), and I see they have "universal kits".

Has anyone tried this on any year Maverick/Comet?

What suggestions or recommendations would one have otherwise?

So NOBODY has ever done an A/C retrofit - wow. Guess it was a bad question.

Usually I have found that the AC air boxes are common enough you can get those easily and use the stock setup.

Nobody makes a drop in kit. I'm in the middle of a complete restoration/restomod of my Comet GT. I plan on using the Street Rod kit from Classic Auto Air. http://www.classicautoair.com/Custom.asp It is a compact unit and should go in fairly easily, but modifications will be required. I will probably buy this unit within the next few months. I will post my findings on the thread I started for the GT. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=36382

Earl Branham found a company that installed a complete underdash A/C unit for him .... Perhaps he will chime in ...
