What do you mean "MAVERICK"guys? What about car guys in general? You make it sound like mustang guys are so much different. So what you are saying is if the drivetrain was in a different wrapper it would be worth more money? You don't have to be just a "maverick"guy to buy a car like that. How about just a guy that likes something different. When you say "we"aren't that crazy you are speaking for everyone on this board. Not that sure everyone would agree with your opinion on "crazy mustang"guys.Me personally I like them all mavericks, mustangs, fairlanes even pintos, hell even gm and some mopar stuff as well.

By the way I never saw a boss 427 before.

But like you said,no disrespect just being honest:Handshake

First Ill start by saying what an awsome car it is, Attention to detail was second to none... But its a Maverick, if it were a Mustang it be a different story. The Maverick just never really took the general popularity award for a muscle car. Me I would rather have a Mav/Comet then a stang but not everyone thinks like me. A friend has an 8.50 cert best of everything rolling chassie,Lamb brakes all around,9" Aluminum center Mark Williams rear... A super nice car for $6,000 Kicker is ... Its a Pinto yeah its been 9's with a 2.3 4 banger on spray and 8's turboed but its still sitting awaiting a new owner. Problem at hand.... PINTO
Your asking price may be steep for some. But that person that wants a super nice Pro Street Maverick will come along. It just may take awile

i meant 427 sohc no matter that

if you put that same drive train in a mustang, i mustang guy would buy it in a second

when i say maverick guy, i mean, we are the type thats not going to spend 30k on any maverick

no maverick has sold for 30k to my knowing, that is like 600,000 for a mustang, its just out there, and only a certain type will buy it

if more people gave the maverick the respect it deserves you would get the money, but no one looks at a maverick as a high dollar car

Thanks killercomet for the compliment.(hey that rhymed)well sort of.Anyway I know what you are saying about the whole not as popular thing.Seems they are more popular now than ever . I also like the different stuff too.You don't see them everyday. The right person will come along some day .It just gets frustrating when people think you put perfume on a goat.I am sure there are some vega guys that feel the same way.

    Welcome to the board!

Your Mav looks nice in every way. Obviously a ton of work went into it. I doubt anyone could duplicate it for the price.

Hey guys ... isn't barking about somebody's prices against board rules? ... :naughty:

Sorry you got off to a rough start here. This really is a tame discussion board and everyone here really is nice.

That is one awesome car! I would love for you to post many more pics of your car. Sorry about the lack of cooth people can show from time to time. People that have never built a car/truck that nice or been around one being built don't have a clue about the actual money that goes into one.
The bad thing is, it is like a 2 edged sword. Part of me wants you to get every bit of that out of it, kind of like recognition to the maverick, the other part likes mavericks being cheap so attention is a bad thing.:D I really do hope you do well in your sale or better yet keep it hang out here. Oh yeah, WELCOME!:thumbs2:

You were asking how to post pics ...

There is a forum for help with board issues, and there are stickies at the top with pic posting tips ...

    http://mmb.maverick.to/forumdisplay.php?f=17

You are in Pittsburgh? I'll be up there around July 4th. Our son and family live in Clairton.
