Well, who schedules these things? Do any of you go to local shows on Friday or Saturday?

Doug has been the contact for the Waco meet... I'm waiting for him to chime in real soon. My car isn't running so I been just showing up to the Waco one since it was in rout to visit grandpa in Austin.

Shot you an email yesterday but maybe it got lost in your junk mail.

I do a couple of the shows a couple times a year.
    Hooters - Grapevine
    Christian Classic Cruisers - Hurst
SVT Club Chucks Cruise-In - Grapevine

Here is a great On-line resource if you are not familiar with it.

There are a couple of pictures from the Waco meet year before last on my website...http://scooper77515.fordmaverick.net/september2006.htm

We had a great time and will continue attending them. Missed last year because of a prior engagement scheduled on the same day.

There was also a meet in Katy near Houston last year (pics at http://scooper77515.fordmaverick.net/october2007.htm) and Ed says he will try to make this a yearly event, so pretty soon we should be hearing from him.

We had a good show of Mavs at the FFW at Baytown last year. Those happen at Baytown, and I think up near you at the track south of Fort Worth. Not sure how many mavs show up there, but I think we had 7 members show up at Baytown, and then another 2 drag mavericks that were not members (but were invited to join).

    Hi Y'all!

Last week I emailed the president of the Heart of Texas Mustang Club about their date for this year. It still has not been posted on the their site. I'm waiting to hear from her. Last year it was on September 29th. (For those who don't know, this is where we've had our annual Texas meet for about 4 or 5 years).

Hey guys in Austin: We've got to get together. :Handshake I think there are more Maverick here than we realize!

I bought my rims from another member who lives in Waco, so apparently, that is a pretty Mav-heavy area, for such as small town.

Keep an eye out in the papers for Heart of Texas Mustang Club. They were a great group of Mustangers that accepted us sorta like "little brothers".

I think the Maverick row got the most visitors the year I was there, except for those 2 guys with the Shelby signed Cobra GTs. They got a pretty good crowd. Especially that all aluminum un-painted one...:jumping:

The 2nd Annual GCC Car Show in Katy Texas is scheduled. It will be the 3rd Saturday in October. October 18 from 10:00 untill 3:00 PM. We had 54 cars last year and are hoping to have 75+ this year. I would like to see 10 Mavericks/Comets this year.
