    I have searched the archives on this topic, and there is a lot to look at. I may have missed it, but although lots of folks passed on the info that Mustang front end rebuild kits fit Mavs, I didn't find one yet that had actually installed the Mustang kit successfully (unless you have Craig?). I find it a little harder to "keep the faith" when it comes time to part with my money, so can anyone out there say "I did it, and it fits" to the Mustang front end kits? Specifics about what year and what source would be nice. I'm planning on going polyurethane, unless someone says not to. Thanks again. This "community" is such a valuable resource. Hats off to Stefan for making it possible to find out so much so quickly about Mavericks. Later. John B.

    I have successfully installed a kit from a 1972 Mustang. It is the same as our Mavericks/Comets. I have yet to install the motor or even drive the car.

    Thanks for the reassurance Craig. I first got nervous about this when it became apparent that some companies that sold such kits listed them as available for Mustangs in their application charts, but not for Mavericks. In fact, when I phoned one company (I forget which one) they said that they would sell me a Mustang kit, but would give no confirmation that it would fit my Maverick. Thanks again for the help. John B.

    Check out all the suspension parts on AutoKrafters website. You will see they cross with Mustang ...

    John, I just ordered a bunch of front end stuff from Canadian Mustang. I didn't go the kit route because I already had new upper and lower ball joints, but I got most everything else. They don't use poly bushings, they have midolyne instead, which they claim is superior, I haven't received the parts just yet so I can't comment. What really appealed to me though is that they're located in Canada, so no duty/brokerage fees etc.

    Oh and BTW I used the parts finder on the RockAuto site as a cross-reference to be sure which Mustang parts would fit my Mav. Hope this is of some help to you.

    As an update I got my parts from Canadian Mustang today and they look like a good fit and quality parts. unfortunately I have to wait for the blizzard to stop and things to warm up before I can put them on. :( Just realized in my haste this morning I forgot to provide a link to their site. it is http://www.canadianmustang.com/

    MapleMav;
    Thanks for your "Canadian perspective" on this and the KYB shocks post as well. I appreciate all input, but links to Canadian vendors helps in the campaign to starve out the customs brockers! We passed through your lovely province this summer on our cross Canada trip. Nice place (lots of long, straight, unobstructed road!) Hope I can return the favours. Later. John B.

    Yeah the straight flat roads out here make it a good time to set the cruise control and take a nice long nap. :) Do you have family out this way John, or were you just passing through?

    Yep, I have a Mustang kit. It works great, and there were no problems. Good luck.
