Modification of the carburation

    What are details to be changed to increase the carburation?

    - The logical carburettor...:D
    - The fuel pump?
    - Etc....

    1972 Maverick 2 door.Original V-8 3 spd std shift.Also a 72 one owner Sprint sporting a 351 Windsor
    Do you want to go to a bigger 2 barrel or from a 2 to a 4 barrel???

    It's more complex than that, unless you are just making a small jump in size, or going 2v to 4v.
    If it's just a small jump in size, then bolt it on.
    If it's a 2v to 4v swap, then just make sure the carb size and manifold fit the rest of your combo of parts.

    If the carb size is a big enough jump to cause a fuel pump change, then you need to change MANY MANY things!

    if you motor, primarly the cam and heads, is stock then you can put as big as a carb as you want on there. Now if you go to big the it will run poorly. usually a stock 302 doenst need anything biger than a 600 cfm carb.

    To increase carburetion you have to get a bigger carb. The throat of the carb will only flow so much air/fuel mixture. If you need more, then you have to have a bigger carb. To feed a carb under most conditions a stock pump is fine unless you are racing. If you are racing you will need to increase the size of your pick-up and fuel lines, your fuel filters, and the carb will have to be selected to match the engine needs.

    OK, thus I can put one 600 Edelbrock without changing anything the other one!?
