    Shackles are dangerous and distructive. They will ruin a set of springs, and can twist and distort the frame.

    distructive?
    up here in the north we would call it destructive, but in mrskydogs case I think they are harmless. we are talking a whopping 92 horsepower 6 cylinder engine here, no power launches happening.
    besides the springs are already shot, thats why he's probably got them on. Give him a chance, he's only had the car for a couple months.

    I am not busting his chops. Having seen the car in person and have sold him some parts....I feel comfortable offering some friendly advice.

    Shackles being destructive have nothing to do with power launches or having a 6 cyl. Just normal everyday driving will do what I describe.

    Thanks Craig I like Any advise and any comments it all is very helful. I do have the period correct Nixion /Agnew Sticker on rear glass, and one of my old orginal Peace Signs on rear view mirror:)
