good day people! I am having some problems with power steering hoses. I just put a 302 in my 72 comet gt and ordered new power steering hoses. There not even close. They look like 1977 hoses, not 72. Does anyone have pictures of what the hoses should look like. :( All my comets and mavs have been six bangers so far, so I'm not familiar with what the V8's look like.

    some conclusions

apparently the V8 pressure line is shorter than the I6 pressure line, but I have read that they need to be longer, as well as realized this y looking at it. They are routed under the frame horn not above like on the I6, so they have to be longer. I'm going to the wrecking yard tomorrow to check it out on a car there. I might even by the lines if their in good shape.

Get them and have them remade using the origional fittings.

The pressure line on a V-8 is a two piece hose. It joins together at a union just in front of the motor mount.
