I went to the 2008 Granby Auto show today , where I met up with Cleveland 4v. There were a lot of nice cars and saw new Mavericks and Comets that I have never seen before.

Hear is his 1975 Maverick, which he bought on Canada's west coast. It a low mileage all original car and in great condition

This one was for sale for $1200, but was really rusty

I also learned something new today. I never never that Ford produced a 1970.5 Ford Falcon, which was sold briefly until the introduction of the Maverick.

I remember those 70 Falcons just because my first car was a 65 Falcon so the nameplate always caught my eye. As I recall, they were real plain Jane Torinos but could be had with a 429 if so ordered.

Thanks Stefan, I never get tired of looking at cars. Always get new ideas that way. The 442 stripe on the 4 door Comets is a new one on me

I have a friend in Arizona that is restoring a Falcon just as you described.

The 1970-1/2 Falcon is pretty much a Torino with a door post. Meaning that they have a metal frame enclosure for the door windows.

Look like standard 70 Torino tail lights to me. I've seen then on a few Mavericks already. They are okay.
