I went to the 2008 Granby Auto show today , where I met up with Cleveland 4v. There were a lot of nice cars and saw new Mavericks and Comets that I have never seen before. Hear is his 1975 Maverick, which he bought on Canada's west coast. It a low mileage all original car and in great condition A 1971 Maverick A 1977 Maverick with small bumper conversion Couple of Comets This one was for sale for $1200, but was really rusty I also learned something new today. I never never that Ford produced a 1970.5 Ford Falcon, which was sold briefly until the introduction of the Maverick. More pictures from the show are in my gallery
I remember those 70 Falcons just because my first car was a 65 Falcon so the nameplate always caught my eye. As I recall, they were real plain Jane Torinos but could be had with a 429 if so ordered.
Thanks Stefan, I never get tired of looking at cars. Always get new ideas that way. The 442 stripe on the 4 door Comets is a new one on me
thanks for posting the pictures. I really like that falcon how would some of those tailights look on a maverick?
I have a friend in Arizona that is restoring a Falcon just as you described. The 1970-1/2 Falcon is pretty much a Torino with a door post. Meaning that they have a metal frame enclosure for the door windows.
Some nice cars there! Thanks! The maroon, red, Maverick has flairs on rear wheel wells, wonder where they came from??
Look like standard 70 Torino tail lights to me. I've seen then on a few Mavericks already. They are okay.
