First of all, how many know what TV show's theme song started with the title of this thread? I have two new best good friends. Mark Lee (mleega1) and I made a trade of parts that benefits both us and makes both of us happy. We met up today to swap the parts. In addition, he had some go fast parts that he said he didn't need anymore since I was getting the other parts from, so he gave them to me. What a guy. Jeff Thomas (rthomas771) drove me down in his truck. His truck gets 18 mpg, our F250 gets 11 mpg. He got to my house at 7:30 AM and we loaded truck were gone by 8:00 AM. Jamie came down to go with us and he was at my house at 7:10 (caused my jaw to drop). I filled up Jeff's truck with gas and bought the three of us breakfast and lunch and spent about the same as I would have just to have put gas in F250.:bananaman It was a great day and lots of fun. Jeff Left my house with an overstuffed front bench and back seat to in his Maverick and Jamie left with a chrome valve cover to go on his Maverick. That'll add 15 HP. What parts did Mark and I swap? Can't tell you just yet. Mark can tell you what he got, but I'm keeping mine hush hush for a little longer.
Me too!! I had a good time. It was great meeting Jeff and Mark today. And of course, seeing Terry's dad is always an experience.
Better watch it, Terry. They'll be calling you the parts collector again. Sounds like a good time was had by all!
...and one of them you are going to have to give up when i get back...he was my bestest friend first.... ...Frank...
I have had a couple of dealings with Mark. I bought my Sprint from him and some other parts. It is always great to find someone who is really passionate about something, rather than just out to make a buck. I understand he is going in a different direction with his life and I wish him well. It's all about the people in this hobby. The cars are just an excuse to get together. Jim
Kum-bye-ya seems like the right song for here also after bout my best friend song! Always great mixing Friends an Mavericks/Comets!!
