I won't try to steal Ken's thunder because I know he is excited about the car. The car was ordered into Cal and appears to have spent most of it's life there, so it is basically rust free. I bought it last summer and trailered it down from Ga. with all the intentions of restoring it. However, after talking to Ken, who is a friend, I found out this was exactly what he had been looking for in a Maverick.

Recently, a unique opportunity presented itself, so I had to make some decisions concerning the cars. I called Ken, and the rest is history. He will bring it back to it's glory, I am sure. Original color is bright red, 3 spd on the floor.

I didn't know the 74 showed up there. I spent an hour just trying to put up the pic of 71. Still learning how to post pics. The 74 grabber I've had all most three years. 302/tci c4/small cam. It lost it's place in the garage!.

Looks good. You have 4 months to get it ready for the NPD show in your back yard.

Don, it's no workbench things keep sliding off !!!. I really was unpacking some new air tools, I cleaned it off since. I drive my 74 at least 3 times a week. I was buying all of the parts to clone the 74 into a 71 now I'm going to build it as a 74 just as it should be. The 74 is still under cover (carport).

Dennis, if it go's to the springs, I will be very happy. I just don't know how much I can get done by then. I need almost all the clutch stuff and a motor. I'm going to do my best.

I don't want to cut the body up, but a really nice 302,trac loc w/3.55 or 3.73 gears.
Bring it back to original color (bright red) and a 4 speed. I have no plans of drag racing, I want to be able to drive anywhere. As for my 74 now the sky's the limit. I want Pro Street all the way.

On a side note, the 71 is an attempt to finish a dream from years ago when I had a 71. I could not find the money or talent to build it before I traded it for a family car.
