need help

    hey whats up. i want to put a 351 cleveland in a 1975 maverick. does anybody know exactly what i need to do. thanks

    Have to modify the shock towers. "Notch" them. Or you can go with a Mustang II style front suspension and eliminate the shock towers completely.

    Wouldn't say no problem, but less problem. The exhaust seems to always be the hardest part with this type of swap, but once you have that taken care of it should be ok.

    You do of course need a front sump oil pan too.

    Yeah, my understanding is that it's mostly done for spark plug clearance. It's hell to change them on a stock 302, but I think on a 351 you'd pretty much have to pull the engine to do it without shock tower mods.

    If I read correctly in old posts you can do it without tower mods.
    And a set of these would take care of the exhaust

    Hm. Neat. I suppose all the shock tower stuff doesn't apply to Clevelands then...
