If any of you folks in Florida need something to do this coming Saturday, September 27th, the North Central Florida Mustang Club is hosting an All Ford show at Nick Nicholas Ford in Inverness, Fl. Last year's initial outing saw over 160 cars show up. This year, we are looking at 200+. There will be a drag simulator where 2 cars line up and go through the gears racing each other on a controlled basis. It is the closest you will have to being on a track. 50/50, door prizes, class awards, goodie bags to the first 100(including the pre-registered ones).

Last year Part-Time and JMiller showed up and Part-Time won the class against several other fine '70-'79 cars.

    Come join us!

There is a $20 registration fee if you bring your car for showing. A large portion of the proceeds will go to a local charity.

I realize this does not give you much time for planning. However, last year, I gave everybody a month's notice and only 2 showed up. Sometimes, it doesn't make any difference how much notice you give people.

Well, I am back from the show. It was a great show. The weather was fantastic, clear sky and a nice breeze. There was a drag race simulator/dyno set up. Plenty of prizes, 50/50 winner won $150, 40+ awards. I took the black Cougar XR7 and won an award.

I met a fellow from the New Port Richey area who should be coming to the site soon. He brought a '74 Maverick with small bumpers and a 347, fast car!

Today was my birthday. What a nice way to spend it! A nice little birthday party for me with 140 other car crazy people. I had the pleasure of escorting Mary Jean Wesche, the Editor of Mustang Times and her husband around the grounds in a golf cart furnished by the dealership. Had a great visit with them. The show should have good coverage in the magazine.

All in all a great day!
