Mainly, just check that it is in fact a '77 (the first letter of the VIN will be a 7, or make note of what ever it really is), and has an intact 4 cylinder with a usable looking oil pan on it. If it's all there, I'll definitely be coming that way Saturday morning. I greatly appreciate it!

I'm going to check the compression on my 302 and see what I get. Could the starting issue be cause by a valve(s) being stuck open?

    Pinto info:

The motor was out of the 77, but they got they have a 1980 that went on the lot yesterday and it has the motor. The alternator bracket is there and the oil pan has paint flaking off but looks good. I stopped by on the way to work and have the vin in my car if you need it. I may need to work Saturday, but if I don't I'll try to meet you. Do you need directions? Also, if you can't make it I can pull the pan and bracket on Sunday for you.
