    hello i'm posting some pics of the 69.5 maverick that my husband wrote about earlier. just wanted to get anyone's take on what year it is if it's a true 69.5

    yup... 69.5.. those are the only ones that featured the key in the dash

    my wife jackie started this post because its her car.now that i know its a 69.5 what about the black strip on the hood.and thanks for all the info.

    im pretty positive that those stripes have been added on to the car by somebody down the line of owners because the grabber was introduced in 1970. on a 1970 grabber, the stripes dont look like that either. but awesome find on a 69 1/2!!! :thumbs2:

    thanks,it's going to be a long road and neither my husband or i have no clue about fords, like he said he's a chevy man. and help would be appcerated.

    I don't know much about them but I think that is the more rare rim blow horn ring on that steering wheel also.

    I live close to bluff city. I'm in Elizabethton and my shop is in Roan Mountain. If you need help with parts I know a few local people that keep up with maverick and comet stuff. We also own a body shop and build a few race cars. Be glad to help!

    we live in bluff city. we did live off the old elizabethton hwy. but we live in bluff city now.do you go to downtown elizabethton cruize in on saturday nights.

    I stop by on my bike sometimes. My car is torn apart right now so I have'nt brought it. I live just across the street from food city so I can almost walk to the cruise. Aren't they having the last cruise in this weekend? If so I might bring our falcon out.
