Rick.....I've got a 90' XX stock short block in my garage. Come and get it. It's your's if you need it.
Many thanks, Alan! I have Doug Johnson (you might've met him at the Ed's car show) looking for something. He is co-host of the "Thunder Road" talk show on 1560 AM (on Sundays at 1:00) and has found a running 302 short block for $350. We'll throw that in the car, add dope, and take it to the track (we don't have a lot of time to align bore, notch, hone, disassemble and reassemble the 347 parts. In the meantime however, we'll need a block to notch for the rolling assembly in my current motor. If he can't find a deal on a forged block, I'll have him get with you for sure. We should be running at HMP this Sunday. Come on out if you get a chance. Thanks again!
a 90" short block would be a...long block... i can't imagine a short block at...90'... ...this thing come out of a...Doublewide.... ...... J/K
Procured a '90 .03" over long block today. Supposedly very low mileage (and appears so). It has forged pistons and GT40 Heads. We plan to throw dope to it so the heads really weren't that much of a concern. I'll probably wind up selling them once the motor blows (and it will ). I'll use my upper and lower intake (turning down the fuel pressure with the 30lbs injectors). Alan, I appreciate the offer on the $0 block for the stroker assembly. I'm going to wait and get a forged block (when the right one comes along). Thanks though!
