    Nice!

    Coming along great!
I dig the electric water pump drive.
Are you going to stay away from running an alternator?
More pics of the suspension please.

I will be running an alternator, with possibly a cut off switch? I will get a few more suspension pics as I get a chance.

    hehe

That's exactly what I was going to suggest.
    I run a alternator from an '86 Mazda b2000.
It's a small, light, 65 amp unit that mounts pretty much the same as the Ford one.
You can get the pigtail for it at Napa and that allows you do wire it up with just a charge wire and a 12 volt ignition wire that you could put a toggle inline in if you want.
The pigtail has two leads on it. the green wire (should be green) is what you need to put switched +12 to and the yellow wire can either be cut off or you can hook it to an idiot light if you want.
Doing this allows you to delete your regulator and the whole harness between the alternator and the regulator.
    Super clean, super easy.
I'd guess it saves at least a good 5 pounds between the difference in alternator size and removing the regulator and harness.
The only thing to look out for is making sure you have the right width pulley on there for the belt you'll be running.

    my specs

well it may see some street use, very limited though, it still has lights, thats about it. I decided to go mostly race after all the work I did last yr. to it I was only able to rack up about 1000mi. on it over the summer, so I decided to gut it and race it!

As far as my times I havn't got a clue as to what it will run, maybe somebody could give me an idea?

Last summer I raced it once and here is what I ran:

this was on an 1/8 mile track, best of 5 runs

    RT- .652
    60'- 2.150
    ET- 9.543
    MPH- 72.69

I was running a 75' 302+.040 factory type low comp. pistons
stock rotating assembly with the exception of an FMS windage tray.
it had D80E heads with 1.90/1.60 valves 69cc chambers ported & polished 1.6 roller tip rockers (probably about 7.5:1 comp.)
wolverine cam adv. dur. 288 .460 lift
offy 360 intake w/1" 4 hole spacer 625 carter carb
hedmann long tubes with open cut outs
    TCI 10" streetfighter stall 2800-3000
    C4w/ shift kit
3.80 locker rearend with 245/60/14 street tires
full interior, the only thing removed from the car was the heater box it had stock suspension front and back except subframe connectors airshocks and lakewood slapper bars.

this yr. I gutted the car and added these parts:

stock 4 leafs with Caltracs,OEM shocks
6cyl front springs with summit 90/10 shocks
    66' 289 heads some porting 1.90/1.60 valves 54cc chambers
    scorpion 1.72 roller rockers
electric fan, water pump drive, mallory HY-FIRE VIal
    4.62 mini spool
    relocate the batt.
    26x10x15 M/T ET DRAGS
I'm hoping for low 8's in the 1/8 but who knows? anyone else have any ideas?

    sorry so long
