My name is Joe and I'm 29. My Dad has always owned Mavericks when I was a kid and I always loved them over anything else. I currently own a 1972 Grabber originally Ivy Green, 302 Auto, black interior...manual drums, and I converted it to manual steer also. It now has a 1970 351 Cleveland 4v w/a '68 Wide Ratio Top Loader, Hurst V Gate inline shifter w/ Reverse Lockout. Has an 8 with 3:25 posi's but I have a 57 Fairlane rear and an N case w/ 3:91's planned. Just wanted to say hey to everyone. I've browsed this site before, but only now decided to join. I dont know why I waited so long?
Welcome from a former Mountain City guy! Dave Stuckey is my name, are you the one near Ward Trucking? Not sure if I have talked to you before or not. Gonna have to post some Pic's!
No that was not me that you talked to about Ward Trucking, but it rings a bell cause I also talked to someone about that. Small world huh? I need to scan my pics and post them sometime. I want to paint mine Calypso Coral or Competition Orange like the 70 Torino Cobra's. In fact Craig Selvey has the exact car that I want mine to look like, right down to the S/S Cragars!! I am painting my hood like a 71 Boss 351 Mustang though. I even built a JoHan model to look like my car when it's done. Here's craig's
Another from this area of the world makes for a potential larger than "mini meet" in the future. Can't wait!
